Vision
CIAT's Corporate Services endeavor to provide cost-efficient support in a transparent manner, while fostering an institutional culture of optimal resource use that better enables scientists and their teams to accomplish their objectives.
Central Services Facilitate CIAT’s work by providing timely, high-quality services in the following areas: Food, housing and conferences, field operations at the research stations, institutional protection, infrastructure maintenance, procurement, and analysis of soil and plant tissues.
Finance and Grants Management Support the implementation of CIAT projects as well as the Center's day-to-day operations through effective use of tools for financial planning and monitoring, while also helping strengthen the links between CIAT, its donors, and the CGIAR.
Human Resources (HR) Provide and retain the necessary talent for CIAT’s work, while fostering an institutional climate and culture that are conductive to staff development.
Information Systems Unit (IS) Provide timely, high-quality services in information management together with the most appropriate information technology tools for the handling of scientific databases, networking and telecommunications, and administrative and financial systems with effective user support.
Legal Office Provide CIAT staff with sound legal advice in drawing up contracts, claims, agreements, letters of understanding, and other legal documents and in the handling of intellectual property issues.
Regional CIAT Office for Finance and Administration Services in Nairobi, Kenya Oversee and coordinate all of CIAT’s financial and administrative functions in Africa in close consultation with Corporate Services at CIAT headquarters. |
