Strengthening Organizations that Support the Rural Sector

f_modulocapacitacion.jpg (17529 bytes)The previous components of the RAD Project represent research areas, the tangible results of which manifest as information on methodologies and tools that facilitate decision making (e.g., manuals and decision making tools). These results are also presented as policy principles and options oriented at organizations and, as such, to the promotion of rural agroindustry (e.g., journal articles and case studies).

Increasing Users' Internal Capacity for Research

Such work requires constant contact with the direct users of these products to:

  • Enrich experiences through interaction with third parties.

  • Obtain feedback that would permit, where necessary, reorientation of research carried out by the RAD Project.

Lines of Action in Training and Strategic Alliances

The RAD Project develops strategies to maintain close relationships with the beneficiaries of its products and to improve its internal research capacity through:

  • Strengthening and establishing strategic alliances for developing collaborative activities with current and new partners.

  • Conducting studies on the adoption and impact of projects promoting rural agroindustry.

  • Participating in and developing training courses in areas related to rural agroindustry.

  • Managing information through mechanisms of dissemination such as the Web page and documentation services.
