Remember your poster must compete for attention with numerous
others displayed during the same Poster Period of CBN-VI.
A poster is not meant to be a full journal article but instead
requires simplicity, clarity and attractiveness.
Poster's Dimensions
The total poster's holder area is: Width = 1.50m vs Height
= 1,70. We recommend a maximum of 1.00m (W) by 1.20m (H).
Content of the Poster
Posters should have the following sections:
- Title, authors and addresses
- Introduction: Brief outline and justification for the
research
- Materials and Methods: Outline how the work as carried
out
- Results and Discussion: Describe what was achieved
- Conclusions: The significance of your work and results
- References
Formatting the Poster
In order to ensure that all posters are easily read we recommend
Arial or Palatino or a similar, "clean", easily
read font.
Please, don't forget to bring your poster's electronic
file (in CD or floppy disk) and reduced printed copies (fitted
into letter or A4 format). The reduced copies can be in grayscale
or color.
Minimum font sizes and styles for each of the above sections
are listed bellow:
- Title [66pt, bold]
- Authors [32pt, bold]
- Addresses [26pt italics]
- In the body of the poster:
- Headings [38pts, bold]
- Text [26pts]
- References [22pts]
The use of graphs and colour images is encouraged to allow
clear attractive communication of your information.
