This
indicators toolkit for Central America contains a CD-ROM, two booklets (together with a
poster), and two pamphlets. Each of these items is described briefly below. To download or
order toolkit components, choose an option in the right-hand column.
This is the main product of the indicators toolkit. The CD-ROM contains an indicator
spatial database, including results of a spatial land use simulation model. The database
can be accessed independently or via a customized ArcView® 3.1 project interface (in
Spanish), presented in ESRI ArcView Data Publisher, to visualize data and indicators.
The interface allows you to view the indicators as maps, tables, charts, and animations
as well as to consult technical notes on indicator development, complete with metadata.
The information contained on the CD and the functions of the interface allow you to
identify problems, determine possible causes, and investigate possible remedies.
