 The
Knowledge Sharing Week offered a new and unique opportunity
for all CIAT and science park staff to interact with the research
support and logistic service units in an innovative Research
Support & Service Fair.
For an entire day in the middle of the week research support
and logisitic service units were on hand in a common space
to:
- respond to inquiries and resolve problems regarding use
of support services;
- impart knowledge of new products and services, tools and
methods, policies and procedures related to support service
use;
- provide an overview of future directions and plans of
units.

that they needed and in some cases got more work done
than expected. For one individual, the fair gave him
the opportunity to solve a computer problem at the
IS booth, finalized a contract with HR people, solve
a financial problem at finance stand and obtained
relevant info at the library."

Research staff were able to approach those units and services
that most interested them, and got to know each other and
fostered relationships for future contacts.
For staff that provide research support and logisitic services,
the Fair was an ideal opportunity to get better acquainted
with research needs, disseminate best practices and recognize
people's achievements.
Our goal was to organize the Fair so that it truly responded
to participant's needs. That's why we invited them to answer
a survey and share with us their expectations, problems, needs,
and ideas.
Expo Agronatura
The Agronatura Science Park is developing a critical mass
of Latin American agricultural and environmental R&D partners
on campus.
Wednesday of Knowledge Sharing Week gave all CIAT and Science
Park staff the opportunity to learn more about the research
agendas and collaborative activities of the institutional
members of Agronatura.
Members institutions each had a space to share knowledge
about their R&D achievements and future plans.
