We expect about 50 participants, including one or more from each CGIAR Center.
Participation is by invitation. If you would like to be invited, please:Either
- Ask your CGIAR Center to nominate you as one of their representative social researchers.
More than one social researcher per CGIAR Center may be invited.
Or
- If you would like to participate as a presenter, submit an abstract or paper to reach us
by 12 June 2002, then ensure that your full paper reaches us before 1 September 2002 for
review by the Conference Steering Committee. Authors whose abstracts and papers are
submitted late cannot be guaranteed an invitation to participate. However, if so desired,
their papers may be considered for inclusion in the publication of the Conference
proceedings.

- If you wish to act as discussant or keynote speaker, contact the Conference organizers.
Note that we are inviting non-CGIAR social researchers and economists, and CGIAR
biophysical scientists to participate in either of these capacities.
CGIAR participants should seek financing from their respective Centers. For some
authors delivering invited papers and coming from non-CGIAR organizations in developing
countries, the Conference will cover their expenses, including travel.
