If you bring your personal computer to the SRC2002 Conference at CIAT, the Centers

Electrical Information
Important Note
Colombias electrical current is 110/60 (volts/Hz) and
uses plug pattern A.
If youve traveled to USA, you wont have problems with
adaptors as you can use them again with our electrical current system. If you
havent, and youre coming from a country with a different electrical current
system, please REMEMBER to bring your converter!
Colombia uses the following electrical grounding adaptor A:
Grounding
Adaptor Plug A
This A pattern slip-on adaptor plug (grounding) is used in the
Western Hemisphere, and North & Central Pacific. It accepts almost all plugs.
Alternatively, you can buy
a Universal Power Adaptor, which allows you to connect to the traditional receptacles of
all countries (see the following illustration).
Telephone Connection Information
If you plan to connect your modem into a wall socket, remember that
Colombia uses the RJ-11 plug.
SIU Services
Network
CIAT has a network of about 500 computers,
distributed in 26 buildings, and interconnected through the Computer Room, the
networks nucleus. Based on modern technologies, including optic fiber
transmission, the network can offer you, while youre visiting us, security,
consistency, and speed in data transmission, and various tools and services.
24-hour Service and Support
During the

professional experts for any problem or doubt you may encounter with hardware, software,
